Last night's storm ripped a huge section of roofing off my garage, and now I'm dealing with the insurance claim process. The adjuster came by this morning to assess the wind damage; she said the shingles were old and brittle, which made them more vulnerable. I'm documenting everything with photos and keeping receipts for the tarp I bought to prevent further water damage. It's frustrating, but at least the claim is moving forward.
